GHRU, Amravati Organizeed Guest Session on “Digital wellness and Digital Deaddiction”
The Happiness Club of G H Raisoni University, Amravati organised a guest session on “ Digital wellness and digital deaddiction”. It was successfully conducted to educate students about the healthy use of digital technology and the importance of maintaining digital balance in daily life. The session was delivered by Dr. Sachin Parab, who is an International Spiritual Trainer, known for guiding individuals towards mindful living and holistic well-being. The session began with an introduction to the concept of digital wellness, where Dr. Parab explained how excessive use of digital devices is impacting mental health, concentration levels, sleep patterns, and social relationships. He highlighted how digital addiction is slowly becoming a major concern among youth and professionals due to continuous exposure to social media, gaming, and screen-based activities. Dr. Parab further elaborated on the signs and symptoms of digital addiction, helping students identify early warning indicators such as anxiety without mobile phones, reduced productivity, disturbed sleep cycles, and reduced face-to-face social interactions. He shared real-life examples and case-based situations which made the session relatable and impactful for the students. The speaker also focused on the importance of digital detox practices and suggested practical techniques such as setting screen time limits, practicing mindful device usage, scheduling no-screen hours, engaging in outdoor activities, and adopting meditation and breathing exercises to reduce digital dependency. The session concluded with a vote of thanks given by Dr. Snehil Jaiswal.
